Building on its burgeoning film service industry, the government of Malta has begun promoting the country as a filmmaking destination to India's film industry.
The Malta Independent reports that the High Commission of Malta is promoting the country as a film location to Indian companies. In addition, it has been meeting with the Film and Television Producers Guild, and has organized screenings of a Malta produced film in cities across India.
According to a recently compiled listing from the Malta film industry, at least 65 films have been produced in Malta.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
