Kino Polska Muzyka is launched

On Monday, 16th May Kino Polska Muzyka – the first music-film channel in Poland will be launched. It is yet another station by Kino Polska TV S.A., a company running
a popular TV channel Telewizja Kino Polska and other channels in the FilmBox group.

Apart from vintage and latest videoclips, Kino Polska Muzyka will bring us concert recordings, archive materials, documents, biography movies, songs from bedtime shows and film series based upon music themes.

The channel will broadcast 23 hours a day, with a maintenance break between 5 and 6 am. It means we will be treated to no less than 150 hours of the Polish music per week. For a start, the station will be available in cable networks, but Kino Polska TV S.A. aims for satellite platforms as well.

The developers of the channel promise they will not fail to deliver. "This is our own idea from the scratch", claims Hubert Augustyniak, Programming Director at Kino Polska Muzyka. "Our main goal is to meet traditional and modern. On the one hand, we'll bring back golden hits, on the other - we'll make room for fresh talents and up-to-date music news. We'll also have a lot of specials: our viewers may watch videoclips in making, see a gig from the backstage or find out fascinating stuff about their favourite musicians."

The owner of Kino Polska Muzyka, Kino Polska TV S.A. is a producer and distributor of popular TV channels. The company's portfolio includes the FilmBox group (FilmBox, FilmBox Extra, FilmBox HD and FilmBox Family) and Telewizja Kino Polska, with the second place in TV ratings in 2010. These channels are available for all digital platforms and major cable providers in Poland. Since 2010 Kino Polska TV S.A. runs TV stations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Spain and Hungary. It is also the main shareholder of the long-established portal about films in Poland - Stopklatka.pl

The new channel will go on air this Monday at 6 a.m.
