WARSAW: Accomplished Polish film directors Greg Zglinski and Borys Lankosz are shooting a new crime series Paradox for public broadcaster TV Polska (www.tvp.pl), scheduled for a 6 September 2012

ZAGREB: Director/producer/playwriter and actor Filip Sovagovic who played one of the main characters in Danis Tanovic's No Man's Land is developing a cinematic adaptation of the Predrag Matvejevic bestseller Mediterranean Breviary: A Cultural Landscape, translated in 27 languages.

TALLINN: Estonian director Ilmar Raag (The Class, Une Estonienne a Paris) has wrapped shooting of his new social drama, Kertu, with the premiere planned for spring 2013.

TALLINN: The Venice Horizons award-winning Estonian director Veiko Õunpuu is shooting his third feature film with the working title Free Range, scheduled for release in March 2013.

WARSAW: Maciej Sobieszczański and Lukasz Ronduda are shooting The Performer, the first full length feature film from Wajda Studio.

WARSAW: Juliusz Machulski, the director of Sexmission and Vabank, has completed filming his new fantasy comedy AmbaSSada (EmbaSSy).

PRAGUE: Norwegian director Bard Breien (The Art of Negative Thinking) will begin the shooting The Down’s Detective, a Norwegian-Czech-Danish-German coproduction, on 29 August 2012 in the Czech Republic. The film about a private detective with Down’s syndrome is set in Oslo.

WARSAW: After a promising start in Gdynia, the young Polish filmmaker Tomasz Wasilewski is in production with his second feature film,
Floating Skyscrapers.

BRATISLAVA: Gejza Dezorz plans to shoot his first feature film, Indian Summer, beginning on 17 September 2012, produced by Marian Urban through ALEF Film&Media Group, s.r.o. (www.afm.sk).

WARSAW: Polish independent film director Sebastian Buttny follows his short films and documentaries with his feature debut, Heavy Mental, currently in postproduction.

WARSAW: Jacek Bromski began shooting on a coming of age story set in Poland of the 1960's, A Trip to the Moon, on 2 August 2012 in Kazimierz Dolny.

PRAGUE: Director Dora Kapralova is in production with Soilmania, a feature length Czech-German coproduction filmed in Czech, German, and English.

BUCHAREST:The Romanian-French filmmaker Cornel Gheorghita (Europolis) is in postproduction with his second feature, a Romanian-French coproduction shot mostly in Romania.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak directors Peter Begányi (Erotic Nation) and Andrej Kolenčík are in post-production with The Exhibition, a medium-length bitter comedy scheduled to come out in early 2013.

VILNIUS: Emilis Velyvis, director of the Lithuanian cult film hit Zero 2, is in production with Flight Redirected, a Lithuanian/UK coproduction.

WARSAW: Magdalena Piekorz, one of Poland's rising young directors, is preparing to film Encounters (Zblizenia), a drama about a tumultuous relationship between a mother and her older daughter and her husband.
