The Viper's Glen Miracle/Čudo u Poskokovoj Dragi will be adapted for the screen by Ante Tomić from his 2010 comic novel. The story is centered on the family of an old man living in the Dalmatian mountains who is refuses to accept modern civilization despite his four sons attempts to change his situation.

BUCHAREST: Bobby Paunescu is developing the first Romanian-Chinese coproduction, The Girl Who Knew Too Much, a thriller/love story set in the fashion industry and involving a Romanian model and the Chinese owner of a world-renowned fashion brand.

BUCHAREST: Fredrik Bond's first feature The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman will bring Shia LaBeouf, Evan Rachel Wood, Melissa Leo, Mads Mikkelsen, Til Schweiger and James Buckley to Bucharest. LJUBLJANA: Slovenian producer Petra Seliškar is in post-production with a creative documentary humorously and personally confronting the borders of Europe. This 60 minute/90 minute film is a sequel to Seliškar's previous documentary The Grandmothers of Revolution (2006).

Sony Pictures Entertainment is in Malta filming Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks, through the end of May.

According to Malta's film commissioner (www.mfc.com.mt) Peter Busuttil, shooting will take place at the Mediterranean Film Studios (www.mfsstudios.com), at Malta ports, and on a tanker in the seas surrounding Malta.

The second series of the Italian TV production Come un delfino will begin a shoot in Malta on 14 April.

BUCHAREST: London based Romanian filmmaker Ilinca Călugăreanu is in production with Chuck Norris vs Communism, a 70 minute documentary focusing on the popular culture of the video cassettes in the last 10 years of the communism.
