"It will be like Full Monty meeting Amelie, a tender little fable about a dog and his owner," said Kantor who is producing Mancs/Paw together with his company, Új Budapest Filmstúdió Kft (www.ujbudapestfilmstudio.hu). TV2 MTM-SBS Television (tv2.hu) is coproducing. The project received 10,000 Euro (3 million Ft) from the Hungarian National Film Fund (www.filmalap.hu). The budget is 840,000 Euro (250 million Ft).
Norbert Köbli and Pejo wrote the script. Preproduction is due to start in September 2012 with the shooting set for the end of 2012. The premiere is set for the end of 2013.
