WARSAW: The Polish Film Institute supported five new feature projects during the second session of funding in 2020 with a total of 2,568,615 EUR / 11.5 m PLN.
GDYNIA: The hybrid 45th edition of the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia will take place from 9 to 14 November 2020. Film screenings will take place without the participation of the audience.
WARSAW: Łukasz Grzegorzek is working on his new drama Tak Ma Być starring Agata Buzek. The shooting will start in August 2020.
WARSAW: Barbara Pec-Ślesicka, production manager and long-time collaborator of Andrzej Wajda, died on 6 July 2020 at the age of 84. She supervised the production of the most important works in the history of Polish cinema, winning the 1983 BAFTA award for Danton.

WARSAW: The feature debut drama from Monika Jordan-Młodzianowska entitled The Iron Bridge opens in Norway and Denmark on 2 July 2020.
WARSAW: Jan Komasa, the director of the Academy Award nominated film Corpus Christi, is working on his first English language film, Anniversary. The film will be a post-apocalyptic drama with an international crew and cast, produced by Nick Wechsler, Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz.
WARSAW: The Polish erotic thriller 365 Days is currently the most popular feature film in the British and US edition of Netflix and in second place worldwide.
WARSAW: It is a wrap for Baptism / Chrzciny, the feature debut of Jakub Skoczeń, starring Katarzyna Figura. The production was one of the first feature films that wrapped after the COVID-19 lockdown was lifted in Poland.
