CEE Animation Forum, one of the leading events for pitching, financing and co-production of European animated projects, has launched a call for entries for its 14th edition, taking place November 10–12 in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Projects can be submitted to the pitching competition in four categories: Feature Films, Series and TV Specials, Short Films, and Student Short Films.
BUDAPEST: Mátyás Erdély is the winner of the prestigious Spotlight Award 2026 from the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) for his work on Orphan / Árva by László Nemes.
TALLINN: The Estonian Film Institute has distributed 3.95 m EUR in 2026 so far as productions grants.
The following production grants were announced by the Estonian Film Institute from 1 January to 28 February 2026.
TALLINN: Estonia’s government has approved the increase of Film Estonia’s cash rebate from 30 to 40%. The increase will take effect in approximately a month.
VALLETTA: The new Maltese film Żejtune by Alex Camilleri has been sold by Films Boutique to 14 countries following its international premiere and the screenings in Berlinale’s European Film Market
RIGA: Baltic Sea Docs (BSD) has opened the call for projects for its 30th edition. The leading documentary coproduction pitching forum will be held in Riga 6 – 11 September 2026.
TALLINN: The Estonian Film Institute distributed over 7.1 m EUR as production and development grants in 2025.
