The Venice Film Market is launching the call for projects of the second edition of the Venice European Gap-Financing Market which will take place on September 3 and 4, 2015, during the 72. Venice International Film Festival.

Katja Adomeit (Emerging Producer 2013) and Aline Schmid (Emerging Producer 2014) will join the networking platform Producers on the Move 2015, organised as part of the Cannes Festival.

Emotion, extreme tension and pleasantly surprising attempts of young filmmakers to revive genre cinema are the main ingredients of this year's TIFF Official Competition (May 29 – June 7). 12 films will compete this year for the Transilvania Trophy – five are debut features and seven are made by second time directors – and they come from countries such as Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iceland, Great Britain, Mexico, Spain and the USA.

In a truly European vote, 12-14-year-olds in 25 European cities have elected THE INVISIBLE BOY by Gabriele Salvatores (Italy) as the winner of the European Film Academy Young Audience Award 2015.
