The Czech government decided on July 23 to construct a new building to house the Czech National Film Archive (NFA). Construction could begin as late as 2013.

The new building, according to local press agency CTK, will cost CZK345 million (14.5 million Euros). The 65-year-old Czech NFA, considered to be among the most important and largest collections in the world, is currently housed in two locations in Prague, and also operates an art house cinema.
