Czech filmgoers reach 11 million this year

    Attendance at Czech cinemas rose by 1.5 million in the first 10 months of 2007 to 11 million people who spent 1.054 billion crowns (€40 million), according to the Czech Film Distributors Association.

    That compares with 11.5 million people in all of 2006 and 9.5 million in 2005, and continues a steady growth trend since 1999.

    The average cost of a ticket grew about 5% to 95.56 crowns in 2007.
