Estonia’s Tartu Film Fund to Triple its Budget

    TALLINN: The Estonian regional Tartu Film Fund in the city of Tartu has announced that it will increase the amount of funding available in the next five years to 450,000 EUR from its present level of 150, 000 EUR.

    The Tartu fund operates on the basis of a cash rebate scheme with a cap of 20% of eligible expenditure incurred in the city by international film productions or the provision of production services for the productions.

    The first project to be supported by the Tartu Fund is the film The Secret Society of Souptown by Margus Peju and produced by Nafta Films, which is being sold internationally by Beta Film.
