The agreement, announced Tuesday, sets a precedent, allowing a commercial enterprise to step in alongside state subsidies, to foster the development of filmmaking talent. The bank will be involved in the financing of a project, according to the GNFC, to allow the private sector to  support the development of Georgian film.
The competition for the projects which includes documentary and short film proposals, has already been announced by GNFC.
Filmmakers will be able to present documentary projects 7 March. Pitching of short film projects will take place until 14 March.
