Thirty-year-old Teodore has everything a man can wish: talent and successful career as a musician, a loving family, adoring friends, scores of fans and handsome looks. But he craves more, a true challenge that will stretch him to the limit. Teodore abandons his family, career and friends only to find out that his greatest confrontation will be with himself.
Gasiūnaitė studied acting at the Vilnius Music Academy and film directing at FAMU, Prague. Since 2001 she has worked as a casting director and an assistant director at Lithuanian Film productions.
Narcissus is produced by the production company Ketvirta versija (http://www.ketvirtaversija.lt/), with managing producer Teresa Zibolienė, co-producer Concept Events and Media (www.concept.lt), and partenr Lithuanian National Radio and Television(LRT, www.lrt.lt). The film is funded by the Lithuanian Culture Foundation (www.krf.lt).
The budget is 200,000 Euro.
The film is scheduled to be completed by fall 2011, with a national premiere in October 2011.
