FESTIVALS: Manaki Brothers ICFF Kicks off

    BITOLA: More than 150 feature films, documentaries and short films will screen at the 37th International Cinematographers Film Festival Manaki Brothers, which kicked off in Bitola, Macedonia on 10 September 2016.

    Headed by new festival director Blagoja Kunovski, the festival will feature its traditional Golden Camera 300 competition for best cinematographic work. It will also honor Dutch cinematographer Robby Müller and Australian cinematographer, Oscar-winning John Seale, with the Golden Camera 300 Lifetime Achievement Award.

    Cinematographer Phedon Papamichael will receive the Golden Camera 300 Special Award for outstanding contribution to the world of art. Renowned British producer Simon Perry will receiveThe Big Star of Macedonian Cinema Award, presented by the AFPM/ Macedonian Film Professional Association, for producing the most successful Macedonian film of all times, Before the Rain, and for discovering Macedonian director Milcho Manchevski.
     

    The festival will wrap on 17 September 2016.
