Over 80 young filmmakers from 22 countries have applied to the documentary workshop, that every year organises the participants in three-member teams – a director, a cinematographer and an editor, giving them four weeks to create a documentary from choosing the subject to editing and postproduction.

The experts and the tutors who will guide the students in 2016 are Thierry Garrel, Nino Kirtadze, John Appel and Tania Rakhmanova.

The 11th Aristoteles Workshop is supported by Baia Mare 2021, European Capital of Culture and the Romanian Film Centre (CNC).
