The Diary of a Chambermaid by Radu Jude
credit: AvanpostBUCHAREST: Film Movement has acquired U.S. rights to Radu Jude's The Diary of a Chambermaid. The first French-language feature by the Romanian most prolific film director had its world premiere in Cannes Directors' Fortnight 2026.
The film is currently in its North American tour, starting with the Toronto IFF (17 – 27 September 2026) and continuing with its U.S. premiere at the New York FF (25 September – 12 October 2026).
The Diary of a Chambermaid / Le Journal d’une femme de chambre, is an independent production between France and Romania, produced by SBS and coproduced by Romania’s Avanpost.
