PRODUCTION: Nejc Gazvoda`s A Trip in Postproduction

    LJUBLJANA: A Trip, the debut feature film of young Slovenian director and screenwriter Nejc Gazvoda is currently in postproduction and expected to be completed in fall 2011. The film was shot in 14 days during the summer of 2010.

    {mosimage}A Trip is the story of the eighties generation struggling to find its way in the world of countless decisions, and the story of three old school friends who, at 25, find themselves at a crossroads.

    The film is produced by Aleš Pavlin and Andrej Štritof of production company PERFO Production (www.perfo.si). Gazvoda previously wrote th screenplay for the medium length film Smile, produced by PERFO Production. At €228,500 A Trip is a low budget film with €114,855 funding from the Slovenian Film Center (www.film-center.si). The small cast includes actors Nina Rakovec, Jure Henigman and Luka Cimprič.

    {mosimage}Gazvoda studied film direction at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana. He has directed three short films and was co-writer for the film Personal Luggage directed by Janez Lapajne. He is also one of the most prolific young Slovenian writers, publishing two collections of short stories and three novels.
