ZagrebDox Pro (15/04/2024 – 20/04/2024) is a five-day program that combines analysis of submitted projects, recommendations and suggestions for their further development. The program includes case studies, group and individual discussions with industry experts, master lectures, special film screenings and round tables.

Tariq Anwar, editor of such films as American Beauty, Revolutionary Road, or The King’s Speech, laureate of two BAFTAs and two-time Academy Award nominee; Rúnar Rúnarsson, one of the most awarded short film directors of our time, holder of the Palme d’Or, the European Film Award, and one Oscar nomination. These and many other acclaimed filmmakers will be coming to Bratislava for the Visegrad Film Forum, a four-day event filled with informal meetings and discussions, lectures, and film screenings.

BELGRADE: Seventeen titles selected from among 536 submitted films will take part in the Competition programme of the 17th edition of the Kustendorf Film & Music Festival, which will be held in Drvengrad, Serbia 23 – 27 January 2024. The festival was initiated by Emir Kusturica.

LONDON: The Polish minority coproduction The Zone of Interest directed by Jonathan Glazer has been nominated in nine categories for the British Academy Film Awards 2024.

TRIESTE: Films by Janez Burger, Vladimir Perišić and Elene Naveriani are among the seven titles selected for the Feature Film Competition of the 35th edition of the Trieste Film Festival, which takes place 19 – 27 January 2024.

TALLINN: A 15 m EUR film studio complex is planned to start construction in Jõhvi, in eastern Estonia, in the summer of 2024. The studio is benefiting from funding from European Union's Just Transition Fund.

BERLIN: The European Film Academy has announced its board of 16 members running from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2025, which counts eight new members, including Daniel Hočevar (Slovenia), Mira Staleva (Bulgaria), Hanka Kastelicová (Czech Republic) and Marija Razgutė (Lithuania). Northeastern and Southeastern European regions are now represented by six Board members.
