This month FNE speaks with Sławomir Fijałkowski, the manager of Charlie Cinema from Łódź, Poland. In the past 20 years, Kino Charlie has become a flagship of Polish art house cinemas, with a tradition in welcoming innovation and experiment. It opened its internet page 17 years ago alongside the first online ticket reservation system in Poland and was the initiator of the Regional Digital Cinemas Network in the Łódź area.

The new commissioner of the Malta Film Fund Engelbert Grech plans to change the structure of the fund with an announcement about the new workings of the fund expected in March.

CARTOON MASTERS is seeking professional filmmakers from the new EU member countries for the Cartoon 360 workshop taking place 25-27 March 2014 in Munich.

Krakow, 28th January 2014 - The famous documentary “Return to Homs” which was awarded last weekend at the Sundance Festival, will be shown in the documentary competition at the 54th Krakow Film Festival, which takes place from 25th May to 1st June.

The Retrospective for the 67th edition of the Festival del film Locarno (6–16 August 2014) will be dedicated to the Italian production studio Titanus.
