PRODUCTION: Slumbering Concrete Doc TV Series Shooting in Croatia

    ZAGREB: The documentary TV series Slumbering Concrete/ Betonski spavači by Saša Ban about the modernist architecture of former Yugoslavia is shooting with the premiere set for 2016.

    The series is produced by Dana Budisavljević and Miljenka Čogelja through Hulahop for Croatian Television. The producers didn’t disclose the budget. The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) is supporting with a project development grant of approximately 8,000 EUR/60,000 HRK in 2013.

    The series is composed of four thematic chapters of four 52-minute episodes. Every episode is a dramatic story about the contradictions of Yugoslav socialist society settled between East and West.

    The principal photography started on 9 February 2015 and will wrapped on 10 July 2015 with additional interviews to be shot in September 2015, representatives of Hulahop told FNE. Hrvoje Franjić is the DoP.

    The first season is expected to be finished in December 2015 but the exact date of the premiere on HRT in 2016 is not yet settled.
