    ZAGREB: Four Daughters by Kaouther Ben Hania and KIX by Hungarian directors Dávid Mikulán and Bálint Révész won the International and the Regional Competition, respectively, at the ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival, which celebrated its 20th edition from 14 to 21 April 2024.

    The festival hosted by the Kaptol Boutique Cinema screened 102 films in 12 programmes. Nineteen films competed in the International Competition and 21 films in the Regional Competition.

    The FIPRESCI jury, counting FNE correspondent Milena Zajović among its members, also gave its award to KIX, and a third prize for the Hungarian film came from the Young Jury as the Small Stamp for the Best Film by a Young Author under the Age of 35.

    This year, the Honorary Big Stamp Award, usually presented by the director of the festival, Nenad Puhovski, went to Werner Herzog.

    Starting with 2024, the festival founded by Nenad Puhovski has an executive director, Hrvoje Pukšec, while Nenad Puhovski will continue to be the artistic director.

    The 2024 ZagrebDox Pro educational and development workshop focused on documentary series.

    ZagrebDox was held with the support of the City of Zagreb, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC), the Kultura nova Foundation, the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild and the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb.
