FESTIVALS: Seven Awards for I Still Hide to Smoke

    PAPHOS: The big winner of the 12th Cyprus International Film Festival Golden Aphrodite in Paphos was I Still Hide to Smoke directed by Rayhana Obermeyer, taking seven of the festival’s top prizes.

    The festival came to an end on Saturday, 24 June 2017, with an award ceremony opened with a live music programme. The ceremony was attended by industry professionals, academics, artists and many members of the public. A short film entitled Not for Sale, made by the cinema workshop Pegasus, plus highlights from the entire festival were screened.

    The seven-member jury gave the following awards:
