Polsat bringing Hell's Kitchen to Poland

By

WARSAW: Polish private broadcaster Polsat is betting on success with adapting a culinary reality TV format from New Zealand, with shooting set for 5 March.

With executive producer Jan Kępiński and his company Jake Vision on board, the franchise of Hell's Kitchen will be produced on location at ATM Studio on a specially built set. Host Wojciech Modest Amaro will coordinate with contestant mentor Kurt Scheller. Polsat plans to air on 8 April, having moved back the original premiere date of 1 April.

Polsat is following up on its major success with the local version of Top Chef, which it broadcast to an average of 1.7m viewers (an 11,6 % market share). Hell's Kitchen, originally a Kiwi production, gained international recognition when Gordon Ramsay produced and starred in the UK version, broadcast by British ITV for fours seasons in from 2004 to 2009.

The US version was picked up and produced for Fox with Ramsay as creative producer and is currently in its 12th season, set to premiere 12 March.
