The film will tell the story of young people of those times and will talk about their great and difficult love, that was run through the mill of history", Paweł Pawlikowski told FNE while developing the film.
Cold War is a British/Polish/French coproduction and is produced by Apocalypso Pictures and Opus Film along MK Productions. The main characters are played by Joanna Kulig, Agata Kulesza, Borys Szyc and Tomasz Kot.
Pawlikowski began working on the film in February 2017. Paris-based MK2 Films and London-based Protagonist Pictures are handling the sales.
