Rise in Polish ad market boosted by Internet sales

    Poland's advertising market rose by 12.7% to 4.48 billion zloties (1.3 billion euros) in the first nine months of 2007 with the highest growth in the Internet segment, according to market researcher Starlink.

    The Internet segment showed growth of 40.4% or 211 million zloties, while the largest amount of advertising went to the TV sector which grew by 12.2% to 2.25 billion zloties. Cinema advertising showed growth of 20.3%.

    Ad spending by daily newspapers rose only 2.7% while radio ad revenues rose 6.0%.
