"An ideal choice would be a boy who can play soccer and act. A big plus would be the knowledge of the Silesian accent, but this is not a necessary condition," said Justyna Pawlak, the producer of the film.

The project is in the early stages of preparation, with no director committed to the film yet. TVN (www.tvn.pl) is producing the film. Shooting will begin in summer 2011. The production team of Fusbal will be the same crew that worked on TVN's hit show 39 and a Half with Justyna Pawlak as the producer. TVN's project falls in line with Poland's big interest in soccer-themed films after the successs of the dramas Flying Pigs directed by Anna Kazejak and Homeless World Cup directed by Kasia Adamik.
