CANNES: The Slovenian minority coproduction Small Body by Laura Samani and the Romanian short fiction film Intercom 15 by Andrei Epure will have their world premieres at the 60th edition of Cannes’ sidebar section Critics Week, set to take place 7-15 July 2021.

Both films have been selected for the competition.

The 22-minute short film Intercom 15, produced by Saga Film, follows the reactions of some residents who discover an unconscious woman lying in front of their building. The cast includes Cosmina Stratan, Mihaela Sîrbu, Ana Ciontea and Ozana Oancea.

As previously announced, the Romanian helmer Cristian Mungiu will preside over the Critics Week jury and Karel Och, the artistic director of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is a member of the jury.
