Popovici is now doing the research and gathering original footage from the Romanian state archives. Original footage is planned in Malta, Germany and England starting June, the producer Cornelia Paloş told FNE. Cornelia Paloş wrote the script. Cristian Gugu is the DOP.
Artis Film (www.artisfilm.ro) is producing. The budget is approximately 158,000 Euro, partially covered by a 60,000 Euro grant given by the National Center for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro) in 2010. Romanian public television TVR (www.tvr.ro) is also supporting the film.
Our Queen, Mary/ Maria, regina noastră is set to be finished in March 2013, with the premiere in April 2013. It will be shown in cinemas and on TV as well.
