ZAGREB: Prague-based Croatian director Pavo Marinković is shooting his first documentary, a Croatian-Czech co-production between Mitropa and 8Heads Production (www.8heads.com).

WARSAW: Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski (Four Nights With Anna and Essential Killing) is writing a script adaptation of the famous war novel Squadron 303 for a large scale costume co-production between Poland, England, Germany and the Czech Republic.

BUCHAREST: Director/screenwriter Marian Crişan (Morgen) is currently filming Iguanas/Iguanele in northern Romania. The 30 day shoot will last through early March.

BUCHAREST: The second season of the series In Treatment/In derivă started shooting in Bucharest on 6 February 2012 with the premiere on HBO Romania (www.hbo.ro) set for the end on 2012.

TBILISI: Three coproductions and 21 national film projects are competing for funding in 2012 from the Georgian National Film Center (www.gnfe.ge).

BUCHAREST: Writer/director Florin Piersic Jr. (Fix Alert) is in post-production with Killing Time, a film noir comedy about two hit men waiting in an empty apartment for their next target.

ZAGREB: Goran Rukavina is in postproduction with Children of the Fall about a man waiting for his missing wife, produced by Zvonimir Munivrana and Corvus Film (www.corvusfilm.hr).

BUCHAREST: Palme d'Or winner Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days) is currently filming Provisory, a drama inspired by the tragic death of a young woman in a Romanian Orthodox monastery in 2005.

BUCHAREST: The American mid-budget western-thriller The Timber produced by Patrick Newall, Scott Einbinder and Ana Media is currently in production in the Carpathian Mountains and at MediaPro Studios (www.mediaprostudios.com).

ZAGREB: Hrvoje Mabic is completing production on Sick, a 70 minute long lenght documentary following a young woman commited to a hospital by her parents to be "treated" for homosexuality, showing how preconceptions can nearly destroy a young life.

BUCHAREST: Australian animator Elliot Cowan is preparing a feature animation based on his series of short films The Stressful Adventures of Boxhead and Roundhead produced by U.S. company Scenery Hill Entertainment and the Romania's Artis Film (www.artisfilm.ro).

WARSAW: Polish director Marcin Krzyształowicz has completed shooting his new film Manhunt, a dynamic thriller reliving the reality of war occupation.

ZAGREB: Lukas Nola is preparing his fifth feature, Be Quiet, a story about a family abuse produced by Ankica Tilic and Kinorama (www.kinorama.hr).
