Romanian feature "Milk Teeth", directed by Mihai Mincan and produced by deFilm, premieres at the Venice International Film Festival, in the Orizzonti competition
Festivals 23-07-2025"Milk Teeth", the second fiction feature film written and directed by Mihai Mincan, will have its world premiere in the Orizzonti competitive section at The Venice International Film Festival (82nd edition), which will take place from 27 August to 6 September 2025.
TARTU: The traditional Tartu open-air film festival Tartuff, specialised in films about love, will celebrate its 20th edition from 4 to 9 August 2025.
TBILISI: Acclaimed Georgian-French director Géla Babluani will start shooting his highly anticipated biopic Young Stalin, starring Cosmo Jarvis, in Tbilisi on 24 July 2025. The British/Georgian coproduction will then move to Bucharest. Los Angeles-based Upgrade Film Sales has already acquired its international sales.
VALLETTA: Stargate Studios Malta has been nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode category for its work on Netflix’s Black Mirror episode USS Callister: Into Infinity.

The 20th Cinematik will open with Father – Tereza Nvotová's third feature film with a chilling theme inspired by reality
Festivals 18-07-2025The celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Cinematik International Film Festival in Piešťany will start in a truly grand manner. It will be opened by the third feature film by director Tereza Nvotová, Father, with whose festival premiere the organizers promise the audience a truly exceptional and emotionally powerful experience. The drama, shot in a Slovak-Czech-Polish co-production, stars Milan Ondrík, Dominika Morávková and Aňa Geislerová.
PULA: Peacemaker by Ivan Ramljak received the Big Golden Arena for Best Film in the Croatian competition at the 72nd Pula Film Festival (10 – 17 July 2025). Serbian/Croatian/Bulgarian How Come It’s All Green Out There? by Nikola Ležaić scooped the Golden Arena for Best Croatian Minority Coproduction, while the 1st edition of the Regional Competition gave its main award to Serbian 78 Days by Emilija Gašić.
The 23rd Franco-German Film Meetings, organized by Unifrance, the Académie Franco-Allemande du Cinéma, and German Films, will take place on October 8 and 9, 2025 in Paris, and will bring together committed professionals from the French, German, and European film industries to discuss current developments in our sector and imagine new perspectives together.
