DREAMS OF BEING THE NORDIC LOVEABLE: PROMOTING NORDIC FILMS INTERNATIONALLY
Europa Distribution is again attending the 31st edition of the New Nordic Films market, held from 19-22 August during the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund. Celebrating its enduring partnership, Europa Distribution will host an open panel titled "Dreams of Being the Nordic Loveable: promoting Nordic films internationally", which will feature case studies on the releases of Nordic films in Europe. This initiative offers an exclusive platform for independent film publishers and distributors to collaborate, exchange strategies, and broaden their horizons on the promotion and reception of Nordic films globally.

Submissions open for Works in Progress at Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event External
Festivals 14-08-2025Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, the region’s leading platform for the audiovisual industry, has opened the submissions for Works in Progress projects. For the 2025 edition, the call is open in three categories: Children and Youth Film (Just Film) Works in Progress projects, Baltic Event Works in Progress (Baltic and Finnish projects), and International Works in Progress.
LOCARNO: The German/Georgian coproduction Dry Leaf, written and directed by Alexandre Koberidze, will have its world premiere on 13 August in the International Competition of the Locarno Film Festival (6 – 16 August 2025). Heretic acquired rights ahead of its premiere.
