PULA: The 72nd edition of the Pula Film Festival (10 – 17 July 2025) brings four world premieres in the Croatian Programme and a new Regional Competition with seven titles competing for the Golden Arena for Best Regional Film.
The following grants were announced by the National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI) on 1 July 2025.
PRAGUE: The Czech/Slovak/Slovenian/French long animated film Tales from the Magic Garden / Zgodbe iz čarobnega vrta was sold by New Europe Film Sales (Poland) in Spain, Indonesia, Croatia and Lithuania, among others.

WARSAW: In 2025, for the first time, Young Horizons Industry (29 September – 1 October) highlights a country of honour. The first spotlight will be on Croatia.
ŽILINA: Czech/Slovak/Ukrainian I Died in Irpin by Anastasiia Falileieva received the Best Animated Short Film Award at the 18th edition of the Fest Anča International Animation Festival, held 24 - 29 June 2025 in Žilina, Slovakia.
The 18th Fest Anča International Animation Festival has announced its award-winning films and directors. The Anča Award for Best Animated Short went to I Died in Irpin, while the Best Slovak Animated Short was awarded to Overture. These winning titles are now one step closer to the Oscar® Award, as Fest Anča remains the only Academy Awards® qualifying festival in Slovakia. This year’s international jury recognized films that reflect the disintegrating times we live in that resonate with the festival’s 2025 theme – OUR BODIES.
