FESTIVALS: Cyprus Film Days Announces Call for Entries for its International Competition

NICOSIA: Cyprus Film Days will present a separate international competition section, Glocal Images, for the 5th consecutive year. The deadline for applications is 13 February 2015. The 13th edition of Cyprus Film Days will take place in Nicosia and Limassol from 17 to 26 April 2015.

The Glocal Images section welcomes films that voice the diversity of local cultures and offer innovative representations of subjects that can be addressed to an international audience. Three prizes will be awarded in this section: Best Film Award (6,000 EUR), Special Jury Award (3,000 EUR) and Best Director Award (1,000 EUR).

The festival is organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Rialto Theatre and aims at developing itself as a cinematic meeting point for the three continents surrounding Cyprus.
