Estonia Allows One-Time Increase in Film Incentives Funding


    TALLINN: The Estonian government has approved a one-time rise in the amount of funding available through the country’s film incentives.

    The increase will allow Film Estonia to give some 5 m EUR in film incentives to the Hollywood film Tenet on its projected 16 m EUR spend in Estonia, using the 30 percent rebate on expenditures. The action/adventure film’s overall budget is reported to be in the range of 200 m EUR.

    Previously the available funding was capped at 2 m EUR.

    Tenet is directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Robert Pattinson, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branaugh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Debicki.
