By

TBILISI: The Film in Georgia programme, including a cash rebate offer, is being renewed by the Government of Georgia, with a focus on the film industry promotion component, supporting the development of the local film industry and attracting foreign film production.

With the renewal of this programme, several projects are being developed in Georgia, which include the development of film studios that would attract Hollywood films.

“This will be a great achievement as it is a source of permanent jobs. It is a platform for us to introduce the film industry and modern technologies in Georgia, and in addition, it is the best mechanism for attracting tourists," the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava said.

She added that the acceptance of films and updated conditions of the cash rebate offer will be announced in the near future. “Film in Georgia” offers 20-25% cash rebates on qualified expenses incurred in Georgia.
