Son of Saul Wins Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film

    BUDAPEST: Son of Saul, the debut feature of the Hungarian László Nemes, won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association on 11 January 2016.

    Son of Saul (produced by Laokoon Filmgroup) was nominated alongside The Fencer (Finland) by Klaus Härö, Mustang (France) by Deniz Gamze Ergüven, The Brand New Testament (Belgium) by Jaco van Dormael and The Club (Chile) by Pablo Larraín.

    The Fencer is a Finnish/Estonian/German coproduction between Making Movies, Allfilm and Kick Film. Mustang is a French/Turkish/German coproduction between CG Cinema, Vistamar Filmproduktion, Uhland Film, BAM Film and Kinology production.

    The 73 edition of the Golden Globes took place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
