PRODUCTION: TVN Shooting Series Agatha’s Law

    WARSAW: Polish private broadcaster TVN is preparing a new original series entitled Agatha's Law (Prawo Agaty) to premiere in 2012. It will be the first classical law series made in Poland.

    The show will follow the life of Agatha, a lawyer in her thirties who opens a private practice after being fired from a big corporation. The form of the series is procedural, so each episode will cover a separate case. The script will cover challenging, realistic cases based on the real problems of Polish citizens.

    TVN Group (www.tvn.pl) is the executive producer of the series, which is scheduled for a 15-episode first season. The producer informed FNE that the shoot for the show, which began in April 2011 in Warsaw, will last till the end of November.

    The director of Agatha's Law is Maciej Migas, who recently worked on another very popular original Polish series The Londoners, produced and aired by TVP (www.tvp.pl). The leading role of Agata is played by agnieszka dygant, an accomplished Polish actress who gained enormous popularity starring as Fran in the Polish version of the American format The Nanny. She will be accompanied by an all star cast of Polish actors including Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Daria Widawska, Marian Opania, Leszek Lichota and Tomasz Karolak.The head producer of the series is Bogumił Lipski.

    Agatha's Law will premiere on TVN (www.tvn.pl) in spring of 2012.
