Polish Film Institute Backs Slate of 29 Films

    WARSAW: The Polish Film Institute's second grant session of the year has endowed 10 new feature films with funding, along with nine documentaries and ten animated films.

     The slate of work includes films by the team Krzysztof Krauze and Joanna Kos-Krauze, whose last film, Papusza, was feted at the Karlovy Vary IFF, and a new drama by 49-year veteran director and artist Jerzy Skolimowski. These two projects both won the top funding award of over 700,000 EUR. Aside from the indicated films, the organization is also financing several projects in development and has provided scholarships for screenwriters.
