The story is centered around the biggest battle fought by the Polish soldiers since WWII in Karbala, Iraqin April 2004. After anuprising staged by Al-Qaida and al-Sadr militants, a 80-man Polish-Iraqi unit held off all the attacks by the terrorists at Karbala, despite the lack of food and ammunition. Krzysztof Łukaszewicz wrote the script.

The films stars Bartłomiej Topa as the unit'scomannder. The  international  cast includes Antoni Królikowski, Tomasz Schuchardt, Leszek Lichota, Michała Żurawski,  Hristo Shopov and Atheer Adel. The film was shot in Poland and Kurdistan in 2015 with a budget of 2.8m EUR /11.9 m PLN.

Włodzimierz Niderhaus produced through WFDiF Documentary and Feature Film Studios in coproduction with  Agora., TVP, Orka Studio, Canal+, Miramar Films (Bulgaria). The project received a production grant of approximately 425,000 EUR /1.8 m PLN from Polish Film Institute, and it was also supported by the Bulgarian National Film CenterCenter.

The film will be distributed domestically by Next Film. WFDiF is handling the international sales.
