WARSAW: Polish public broadcaster TVP signed a co-operation agreement with one of the biggest Chinese broadcasters, Chengdu Radio and Television, during a Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair held at Chengdu.

"We want to showcase the Chinese culture and economy for our viewers in order to develop further co-operation between Poland and Chengdu - the fastest growing city in the world. Currently, Poland is popular in China for our grocery products and now it’s time to add Polish culture," Maciej Stanecki, a TVP Board Member, said in an official statement.

The co-operation between the two broadcasters will include exchange of programmes, co-production of new content and exchange of experiences. A delegation of Polish journalists is currently visiting China, working on a documentary about the Chinese policy of the New Silk Trail and its consequences for the co-operation of Poland and China. The document is prepared by journalists from Poland and China as a coproduction of two broadcasters.
