GRANTS: Mazovia Film Fund Supports Nine Productions

    WARSAW: The Mazovia Film Fund chose three feature films and six documentaries to support with coproduction grants totaling 1.4 m PLN / 334,613 EUR, including new films from Kinga Dębska, Marcin Krzyształowicz and Paweł Pawlikowski.

    A total of 49 projects were submitted. This year's competition jury included Dariusz Gąsiorowski, Tomasz Kolankiewicz, Agnieszka Kuźmińska, Beata Polaczyńska, Wiesław Raboszuk, Krzysztof Rak, Magdalena Sendecka, Anna Spisz and Tomasz Thun-Janowski. The producers that received grants are obliged to sign a coproduction contract with the Mazovian Institute of Culture.


    The biggest grant of 307,500 PLN / 73,500 EUR went to Najmro directed by Mateusz Rakowicz and produced by Serce, followed by 246,000 PLN / 58,802 EUR grant to the drama from Paweł Pawliskowski entitled Zimna wojna / Cold War produced by Opus Film, and the same amount to Pan T., a drama from Marcin Krzyształowicz produced by Skorpion Arte and Zabawa, zabawa directed by Kinga Dębska and produced by Kalejdoskop Film Studio.
