Visegrad Film Forum Kicks Off in Bratislava

    BRATISLAVA: The 7th Visegrad Film Forum for students and young filmmakers runs 17 – 21 April in Bratislava at the VSMU university.

    Guest speakers and presenters include the film editor Mick Audsley, hosted thanks to a new collaboration with the Association of Slovak Cinematographers. The Oscar-nominated Polish cinematographer Slawomir Idziak will hold a five-day workshop and will participate in a case study of the film Gattaca. VFF will present a case study of the debut film from French journalist-turned-director Joan Chemla.

    Other guests include Icelandic production designer Eggert Ketilsson, Polish composer Antoni Komasa-Lazarkiewicz, and Polish documentary director Marcel Lozinski, who will introduce screenings of five of his films. The VFF with also screen student films from the four Visegrad countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.
