VILNIUS: The German production company Ufa Fiction (producers Benjamin Benedict, Nico Hofmann and Martin Bromber) and local service producer Ramūnas Škikas (production company Ahil) are shooting the TV drama Kruso in Lithuania for public broadcasters MDR and ARD Degeto with backing from MDM Mitteldeutsche Medien-Förderung and the Lithuanian Film Centre.

BELGRADE: Writer/director Predrag Antonijević returns to Serbian cinema after 27 years with Soldier’s Lullaby / Zaspanka za vojnike, a WWI drama he is currently shooting in Serbia. The film is an adaptation of Stevan Jakovljević’s classical realistic novel Srpska trilogija / Serbian Trilogy, written almost 100 years ago.

RIGA: Michael Idov’s debut feature The Humorist started shooting in Jurmala, Latvia. The film is a coproduction between Russia, Latvia and the Czech Republic, and is set to be finished by summer 2018.
