Teams from the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, the Youth and Children’s Film Festival Just Film, and Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event will attend the 74th Berlin International Film Festival and the European Film Market.

As part of the programme of the 48th edition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (January 30 – February 7, 2026), two Slovak animated short films will be presented. 

For the sixth year in a row, Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) joins forces with the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes to spotlight outstanding international feature films in post-production at the PÖFF Goes to Cannes showcase.

In the programme of the 55th edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 29 – February 8, 2026), two Slovak films will be presented in their world premieres.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has announced its grants for the production and development of video games for 2025.

TALLINN: The 30th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) will be held 6 – 22 November 2026 with significant leadership changes. Triin Tramberg has been appointed as Artistic Director.

ZAGREB: Fourteen established directors and actors from the Balkan region have been selected for the 3rd edition of Slano Film Days, announced for 16 – 20 June 2025 in Croatia.

As it celebrates its 30th edition, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) enters a new chapter, marked by significant leadership changes and a strengthened commitment to artistic excellence, talent development, and international collaboration.

The following development and production grants were announced by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) for the year 2025 on 22 January 2026.

ZAGREB: Igor Šeregi's Croatian/Serbian comedy The Wedding / Svadba registered the best cinema opening for a Croatian film ever, with 170,496 admissions. The Wedding surpassed Avengers: Endgame (2019), which attracted 90,000 viewers in Croatia during its opening weekend.
