BUDAPEST: The new studio complex in Fót was opened on 30 January 2025 by a ceremony attended by the PM Viktor Orbán. The development of the studio was launched by the National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI) in 2020.

Romania 30-01-2025BUCHAREST: Romanian Palm d’Or winner Cristian Mungiu is preparing to shoot his new feature Fjord entirely in Norway as of March 2025. This Romanian/French/Norwegian/Danish/Finnish/Swedish drama starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve has already been acquired by GoodFellas.
BUCHAREST: Romanian-born Belgium-based director Teodora Ana Mihai is currently in preparation with her third feature film, Heysel 85. The Belgian/Romanian joint about the tragedy at the European Cup finals in 1985 is produced by Hans Everaert and Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne, and coproduced by Cristian Mungiu.
VILNIUS: The animated preschool TV series Stomp! Stomp! Rhinos! produced by Oak9 Entertainment is the first Lithuanian animated franchise acquired by a sales agent (Boat Rocker) for worldwide distribution.
BELGRADE: The Mexican short film Castaways directed by Andrea Saavedra de la Teja received the Golden Egg at the 18th edition of the Kustendorf Film and Music Festival, held in Mećavnik (Kustendorf) 22 - 25 January 2025.
