The call for projects for the Young Horizons Industry forum is open until 19 April. We are waiting for submissions of full-length films and series projects for young audiences, at various stages of development and production. For the first time, we also invite creators to submit their completed films to the Young Horizons International Film Festival.

Dot.on.the.Map Ιndustry Days, the co-production, training and networking platform for film industry professionals of the 22nd Cyprus Film Days IF, will hold its 5th edition in Limassol, Cyprus (18 – 20 April, 2024), and announces the selected projects to be pitched in its co-production forum, Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point.

LIMASSOL: Eight projects produced or coproduced by Cyprus, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, among others, will be pitched at the coproduction forum, Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point, which will be held during the 5th Dot.on.the.Map Ιndustry Days (18 – 20 April 2024) within the 22nd Cyprus Film Days International Festival.

ŽILINA: The 17th edition of Fest Anča International Animation Festival in Žilina, Slovakia, will screen 206 films selected among 1,340 titles from 71 countries. The festival takes place from 25 to 30 June 2024.

Fest Anča International Animation Festival’s 17th edition’s official selection showcases the past two years’ best animation. 1,340 films from 71 countries across the globe were submitted, of which the pre-selection committee has chosen 206 fresh and authentic films. Festivalgoers can watch them in just a few months in Žilina from 25 to 30 June 2024.

ZAGREB: ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival will celebrate its 20th edition with a handpicked selection and an executive director. A total of 102 films will screen from 14 to 21 April 2024 at the Kaptol Boutique Cinema in Zagreb.

BUDAPEST: The Cold War series Spy/Master produced by Hungary’s Proton Cinema and Romania’s Mobra Films has been acquired by the BBC from Warner Bros. Discovery for BBC iPlayer and TV channels.

VILNIUS: The Polish/French/Ukrainian coproduction In the Rearview directed by Maciek Hamela was awarded Best Film in the International Competition of the 29th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris, which was held 14 – 27 March 2024.

PRAGUE: Life Is Beautiful (Norway, Palestine) directed by Mohamed Jabaly was presented with the award for Best Film in the International Competition of the 26th One World International Human Rights Film Festival.

BUCHAREST: The Romanian Advertising and Media Association will bring seven Romanian TV entertainment production companies to MIPTV, which will be held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes 8 – 10 April 2024. Meet them at Riviera 7, Booth E70!
