FNE's Georgian correspondent and film critic Alexander Gabelia spoke to Guram Ghonghadze, programme coordinator of the Tbilisi International Film Festival, about the 22nd edition of the Tbilisi IFF in Georgia, which will take place in a physical format 5–12 December 2021, in compliance with the state regulations regarding the safety of participants. Guram talks about both the challenges and difficulties that the pandemic has created for the festival, as well as the programme and guests of this year’s event.

TBILISI: Mom by France-based director Kajika Aki Ferrazzini was awarded the Grand Prize at the 4th edition of the Tbilisi International Animation Festival, which was finally held in a hybrid format from 30 October to 2 November 2021, in compliance with the state regulations regarding the safety of participants.

TBILISI: Six young Georgian directors are participating in the first edition of the Svaneti International Film Festival's script development residence, which will last for 20 days. The directors are working on their first or second projects, including feature films, animation or documentary projects.
