PRAGUE: Nicky's Family, the sequel to director Matěj Mináč's 2002 International Emmy award-winning film Nicholas Winton - The Power of Good, will have its world premiere on 20 January 2011 in Prague. The Czech-Slovak coproduction is a full-length documentary film with dramatized reconstructions The day-long event will feature the presentation of a petition to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Winton.

Mináč first brought Sir Nicholas Winton to the attention of filmgoers with his feature film 1999 All My Loved Ones, a drama of the transport of children out of Czechoslovakia during WWII organized by Winton when he was a young stockbrocker. Mináč, whose mother was one of the hundreds of children saved by Winton's actions, championed the modest Winton in his first documentary, which brought him international acclaim. Nicky's Family examines the worldwide response to Winton and the subsequent commitment to doing good deeds by young students.

The film reunites Mináč with his Power of Good coproducer, cowriter, and editor Patrik Pašš.
