The shoot for Kochaj took place in September 2015 on location in Warsaw and Płock. The film is the feature debut for Plucińska, an accomplished Polish film and television producer most recognized for her work on My Father's Bike directed by Piotr Trzaskalski and produced by her company Federico Film. Her directing debut has an all-star cast that includes Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Olga Bołądź, Roma Gąsiorowska and Paweł Machalica.

Kochaj is a romantic drama about the struggles of four contemporary women living in a big city. The DoP is Bogumił Godfrejów.

The final budget of the film has not been announced. The film received support from the City Of Płock and the Law Office of Świeca & Partners LP.
