FNE at Transatlantyk 2018: Cercamon Picks up Winter Flies

    ŁÓDŹ: Czech/Slovenian/Slovak/French/Polish coproduction Winter Flies, directed by Olmo Omerzu, has been picked up by sales agent Cercamon. The film had its Polish premiere at Transatlantyk 2018 Film Festival in Łódź.

    Cercamon picked up the film following its international premiere at the Karlovy Vary IFF, where it won the Best Director, Natalia Grzegorzek from Koskino, the Polish coproducer of Winter Flies, told FNE.

    The film is produced by Endorfilm in coproduction with Punkchart Films, Koskino, Cvinger Film, the Czech Television and Rouge International. The film received support from the Polish Film Institute, the Czech Film Centre, the Slovak Film Institute, Slovenski filmski center and javna agencija RS.

    The film written by Petr Pýcha is a road movie about the flies that occasionally buzz around even in winter and the elusive bond of boyhood friendship. The cast includes Tomáš Mrvík, Jan Uher, Lenka Vlasáková, Eliška Křenková and Martin Pechlát.
