Romania got nods for Toto and His Sisters by Alexander Nanau in the best documentary category and for Radu Jude & Florin Lazarescu in the screenwriting category for Aferim!, a coproduction with Bulgaria, Czech Republic and France.
Poland’s Małgorzata Szumowska received a nomination as best director for Body. The final CEE nomination went to Slovenia as coproducer on the documentary Dancing with Maria.
